Labor Day Parade
Labor Day is the first Monday of September every year. It is a day that we have used to observe and honor the countless accomplishments of our workforce. The working family is the driving force of the economy in the United States and deserves recognition as such.
Among other things, labor unions fight to protect workers and provide safe working conditions, benefits, fair wages, and equality. This is why it is of the utmost importance for workers and their families and friends to support the labor movement.
We implore you all to join us on Monday, September 6th, to continue the fight. In light of contract negotiations, District Council 33 and its sister unions WILL make it clear to the administration that we matter. We will not be ignored. We have worked tirelessly through a once-in-a-lifetime pandemic without skipping a beat. We are the reason this city was able to push through, and it wasn't without sacrifice. Many of our friends, families, and co-workers were not so fortunate which is why it's important for us to continue the fight. Now is not the time for excuses. Always remember, WE ARE STRONGER TOGETHER.
