District Council 33 is pleased to announce our Medical Plan Open Enrollment Period. Independence Blue Cross (IBX) will continue to be our medical carrier in 2026.

During Open Enrollment, you will have 2 medical plan options to choose from: HMO and PPO. If you are currently in the HMO plan or the PPO plan and want to keep the same plan, you do not have to do anything. You will be defaulted to the HMO or PPO plan as of 1/1/26. 

In addition, to the $20,000 Basic Term Life Insurance provided to you by DC 33, you will also have an opportunity to purchase MetLife Optional Term Life Insurance. For this Open Enrollment period only, you may enroll in increments of $10,000 up to $50,000 without answering any health questions ($20,000 minimum). 

Our open enrollment period for medical plan changes is

November 10 - November 21, 2025. 

Representatives will be available daily during Open Enrollment in the Union Hall from 8:00 am - 6:00 pm. Representatives will also be available by calling 844-413-3081.
